“Whether it’s through a shared meal, a moment of prayer, or a word of encouragement, we want every person to know they are seen and loved by God.”
Meet our Founder
Amanda came to Stone Island in 2019 with a heart to serve and share Jesus through simple acts of love—visiting parks, telling Bible stories, praying with neighbors, and helping with community cleanups. Over time, those small seeds of service grew into deep roots in the community.
In 2021, Amanda and her husband, Efraín, planted a local church to share the hope of Christ and create a space for worship, discipleship, and fellowship. That same year, Amanda launched an after-school program where children receive a healthy meal, daily devotional, help with homework, and training in life skills. The program has since become a safe and nurturing environment for dozens of children, helping them grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Her ministry extends beyond children. Amanda has walked alongside local women—offering Bible studies, mentorship, and practical support—to encourage them in faith, family, and personal growth. She also partners with other ministries to connect resources, create opportunities, and strengthen the community as a whole.
With a background in teaching, special needs education, and missions, Amanda brings both skill and compassion to every area she serves. Her heart is to see people of all ages know they are loved, valued, and equipped to live out God’s purposes in their lives.

About Scattering Seeds Ministries
Scattering Seeds Ministries exists to share the love of Jesus and see lives transformed on Stone Island and beyond. What began with simple conversations, Bible stories, and small acts of service has grown into a ministry that reaches children, families, and the community in practical and spiritual ways.
Today, our work includes:
Church Planting – After years of evangelism and small group gatherings, Amanda and her husband, Efraín, planted a local church where Efraín now serves as pastor.
Comedor Misphat – A thriving after-school program where children receive a warm meal, devotional teaching, life skills, and homework help.
Academia Ancla – Launching this September, a Christ-centered school offering smaller class sizes, biblical values, and a nurturing environment for children to discover their God-given purpose.
Like the seeds in Jesus’ parable, God has allowed our ministry to branch out into different areas, each one planted in faith, watered with love, and growing for His glory.
